Home to world-renowned cities of art, historic villages, natural oases, and majestic mountains—from fortified citadels and noble villas to seaside resorts on the Adriatic and the shores of Lake Garda—the Veneto region is a treasure trove of UNESCO World Heritage sites. These include Verona, Venice and its lagoon, the Botanical Garden of Padua, Vicenza and the Palladian Villas, the Dolomites, the Conegliano and Valdobbiadene Hills, prehistoric pile-dwelling sites, and the Venetian Works of Defense. As a result, Veneto stands as one of the world’s most sought-after tourist destinations and the most welcoming region in Italy, leading the nation in tourist arrivals.
It is within this prestigious context that the “tailors” of Spazio Verde performed the restoration of a major hotel complex. The project began with the planting of olive trees, majestic tall specimen trees, and a curated selection of spring and summer blooms.
To ensure long-term vitality, a zoned automatic irrigation system was installed using premium RainBird® components. The lighting design was crafted to be both dramatic and energy-efficient, featuring recessed spotlights for plants and flowerbeds, as well as path lights and security lighting.
Functional infrastructure included the use of draining interlocking pavers for driveways and outdoor stone for pedestrian paths. The highlight of the leisure area is an infinity-edge pool with a salt filtration system and a separate whirlpool zone, complemented by bespoke furniture in aluminum and canvas. Finally, custom-built wrought-iron pergolas, powder-coated for durability, were installed for the outdoor parking areas.
The result? A garden perfect for the ideal vacation: one where you have nothing to do and all day to do it.
