“There is no world without Verona walls…” wrote Shakespeare. Today, Verona remains a magical corner of the Veneto region, filled with Renaissance splendor. For a private city villa, Spazio Verde created a romantic sanctuary featuring “cloud-pruned” (bonsai style) olive trees, a collection of Hydrangeas and antique roses, and vibrant year-round blooms.
The project features a smart-home integrated Toro® irrigation system and a domotic-controlled lighting system, including “matchstick” spot lights and underwater pool lights. Pedestrian paths were paved in porphyry, while the salt-filtration pool area was finished in Botticino marble. Unique features include a Paving Green driveable lawn, a natural grass soccer pitch, and the stabilization of embankments using cyclopean boulders to create “green reefs.”
The result? A divine garden. For as it has been said, if a mortal were ever to hear the voice of God, it would be in such a garden at the day’s breeze.
