Italy is rich in private residences used as summer retreats. For one of these homes, Spazio Verde designed and realized a magnificent garden, planting centuries-old olive trees, seven different varieties of palms, endemic species, Mediterranean blooms, and aquatic plants.
The irrigation consists of a zoned automatic system using high-quality RainBird® components, ensuring maximum water efficiency through the use of rainwater collection tanks. Regarding the lighting, energy-saving lamps were installed for plants and flowerbeds, alongside path lights for walkways and IP68-rated submersible lights for the pool, fountains, and water features.
The skimmer-style pool utilizes a chlorine purification system, accompanied by a recirculating fountain designed as a natural pond with aquatic plants and freshwater fish. The hardscaping features porphyry for pedestrian and vehicular paths—with a portion of the driveway utilizing Paving Green reinforced lawn—while the sun deck area is finished in teak wood. The pool area is fully furnished with chaise longues, side tables, and functional outdoor furniture. The property is highly automated, featuring a CCTV video surveillance system, an anti-intrusion system, and the electrification of all gates.
The result? A garden that is like a true friendship: it asks for nothing in return but attention and affection.
